The Story of The Game

Hello, my name is Shakila Kendall and I am the author of "The Game (10 Part Series)". I am a wife, mother, entrepreneur, community activist and author. I am a believer that with God all things are possible, even the change that's needed for our communities. Inspiration for writing "The Game" came after my cousin was murdered and his life ended pre-maturely. This sparked a fire in me that cannot be put out concerning gun violence and the drug epidemic. Every day in our communities' lives is being taken and loss because of money, drugs and violence. The Game is a representation of a course redirect. In other words, it's a rising up to do things differently than we have done them thus far. Doing things, the same way for many years has yielded the same results and now it's time to change the game and start on a new path. This book offers other options for men to provide for their families, leave a different legacy to their children and expose them to a new way of thinking. I urge us all to encourage our men, build them up, and let them know that there is more to life than the streets, drugs, money and violence. My prayer is that after reading this book they will be encouraged to change paths and see that God has created them for a purpose beyond what they see or is living now!
